About Aderet Therapy
Aderet Therapy was established in 2020 in Melbourne and has expanded into Sydney. Our lead clinician has been working in the area of complex disability for almost 10 years with an emphasis on those with sensory processing challenges and complex communication needs.
The name 'Aderet' comes from the Hebrew word for mantle from the Old Testament. Historically it meant a garment that was larger than the wearer. Symbolically when handed a mantle it signified being handed a task that was bigger than what you were currently capable of doing under the expectation that you will grow into the responsibility.
Every child needs the opportunity to develop a skill.
Every child has their own personality and uniqueness.
Progress occurs at a faster rate when we work as a team.
Therapy is meant to be fun. Children learn best through play.
Our Services
Aderet Therapy provides a range of comprehensive paediatric physiotherapy services. We have years of experience working in the younger population with children with musculoskeletal conditions, global developmental delay and disability.
Our clinicians are skilled in providing care to young children during the early years of their developmental journey. We work with Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Autism, Down Syndrome, Retts Syndrome, genetic conditions and more.
Care for children from newborn to 18 years at any stage of their developmental journey — Early Intervention, School Aged, and Transition to Adulthood. Including gross motor development and assistive technology prescription.
Communication is vital for engaging with people and making friends. We teach movements to assist individuals who have communication challenges, including augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) device access.
A fun, effective way to learn gross motor skills. The water is fun! Kids love to splash and play. The hydrostatic properties of water provide additional sensory feedback, anti-gravity support and pain reduction.
Fun group programs including Groove Makers (music group), Melodic Movement Masters (dance group), and The Motor Squad (gross motor group) — all adapted for children with physical disabilities by experienced paediatric physiotherapists.
A community-based free initiative providing information and strategies to parents in the local community, whilst providing an opportunity for mums to connect and journey together. Drop-in sessions facilitated by qualified paediatric physiotherapists.
The right prescription of assistive technology can make the difference between surviving in an environment and thriving.
